Placed into papertowel after a 24 hour soak, 4/10 opened already
After 24 hours in the papertowel, 9/10 opened
Under the T5's, Walkabouts in the back
I planted all 10 seeds into 2 in. starter cups, domed them and placed them under T5 lights. 9/10 opened, the seed in the front of the middle pic has not yet. I labeled all the cups phenos A-J, placing the unopened bean in the cup labeled pheno J. The medium is Happy Frog soil and I presoaked with RO water, I am not going to ammend until the first transplant. I like to plant no,more than 1/4in. below the surface and carefully cover with loose dirt. Might start seeing sprouts as soon as tomorrow.
I will be making my own guano and worm teas for feedings. The guano teas are made from The International House of Guano Kit from SunLeaves. I add blackstrap molasses(Aunt Patties), humic acid (BioAg), Kelp Meal (Down to Earth), and then add Hygrozme enzymes(1/2 strength) to the tea after I dilute it. I brew all my teas for 48 hours, except the peruvian seabird guano(72 hours minimum). I also ammend my soils with these guanos and worm castings. Then I like to top dress in certain situations.
I will make sure to provide more info like soil mixes, ppm readings, etc. as the grow progresses. Also, I will keep track of the growth rate as these plants will not be manipulated in any way. Growing them straight up. I like to flower after they presex and at least 18 in. tall. Beyond quality and medicinal value, I also want to get an idea of how they can yield.
Peace
