Super Silver Widow

So, I got one of those SSW packs a little while back at the auction, didnt want to sit on them for too long

Long story short, had 19 beans. 11 females. But the first to show sex wouldn't root clones for crap, so she was culled. 10 females going forward.... first to put out arent the girls you bring home to momma anyhow :)

Also kept 1 male around, for reasons....

The magic carpet pack pictured was germinated and is part of another grow now (work), wont be featured in this journal. What will be occasionally shown, and is on the far right of the plant shot, is 4 phenos of Billy Wonka from MaddFarmer.

So, 10 SSW starting bloom today, and 4 Wonka 4 days into bloom

Updates will come periodically, I'm busy but I'll do what I can. I have high hopes for both of these

Silver Widow is a fabulous strain and you will reap some healthy yields from her. It's one of the greasiest plants ive encountered, (which to me seems to correlate to high % of mono and sesquiterpenes) topped only by the zkittles cultivar we have here. Take her earlier for the widow coming, 9wks minimum, and later for the ssh expressions 12wks max imo.

MaddFarmer has some solid genetics. His Wicked Clem #6 was a pleasure to grow.

Thanks for the tips Herbsman... it's still funny to me how much you nailed that BlueberryLand we talked about

And dont sit on them too long Marcus! If Herbsman is right, it's worth it

Anyhow, just a quick update tonight. They're 11 days from the flip, they all stretched out pretty nicely, and are shifting gears into bud mode

Ok, so heres a quick update. The pics are from a week or 1.5wks ago, taken at day 38, were at day 47 or 48 now. I've been busy lol.

Anyhow, they really took off. Number 7 has been removed due to lots of rapid onset intersexing. No issues with the others.

9, 10, and 11 seem to be the most interesting.

All smell very sweet, like overripe pineapple and cantaloupe, but some have a peppery tone as well. Very sticky. Very sticky.

Aloha brah!

Coming along nicely!
Love the color brah! As I understand it, part of the function of anthocyanin; as a protection and survival mechanism, is to attract insects and animals for pollination and seed dispersal. There is data that coloring may also protect plants from late season lighting. Thanks for posting.

That's it exactly... to the point that different wavelengths of light can cause different anthocyanin pigmentation. I've just never personally grown something where anthocyanin became the primary flavanoid... which is how I'm interpreting it being visible in the stalk. I think it's pretty cool lol

On the 67th day of bloom... 2 ladies have been chopped

First 3 pics are #10, next 3 are #11. Both appear widow dominant
