Started soaking 10 seeds in Maxi-crop seaweed (5mls per litre) and a touch of Superthrive (.05ml per litre) for 24hrs, seeds were placed into coir and into heated prop tray, by the second day in coir 8 had emerged and were potted on into single pots, after a few days i scuffed the other 2 and replaced them in coir but as yet they have not shown, still 8 out of 10 is fine by me i'm delighted to have this cross, the seedlings have been on a diet of Rhizotonic (4mls per litre) and Maxi-crop (5mls per litre) and happily growing away until i had to go away for a few days, my wife was looking after them and i had asked her to mix fresh nutrient daily as it starts to stink pretty quick if left unused and i don't like to use it on young plants, sadly she mislaid the note with the measurements on and so used the hydro shop guide to mix new feed, as the measurements are given for 10 litres she adjusted it to make a litre at a time but instead of using 4.0mls she used 0.40mls for 5 days and so when i returned the seedlings are in a sorry state, yellow leaves with spots of necrosis, purple viens. (I will start posting pics in the morning, i need batteries) they are back on the correct amount now with a little Superthrive included to help them recover, I'm sure they will be fine but this has obviously slowed them down somewhat.
I would normally be topping the seedlings (twice) starting at the 3rd set of leaves but will now wait until the 4th set to let them get over this shock before i stress them out chopping their heads off.
Just to be clear, this is not meant as a dig at my wife in any way, i just want to explain in some detail what has gone on so far. Pics a.s.a.p. Pepè
