Gonna treat myself with some well cured, well done LaNina today :D I pulled this plant in late October, in the same round as the SSH#1 that I reported on. She was done in a 2 gallon soil bag.

1. __[10]__ Visual Appeal

Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
Range from monkey paw jewels to resin turds. And the crowd goes wild...

2. __[9]__ Visible Trichomes

Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome

5. __[6]__ Bud density

Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are
not in their natural state leave this field blank.
This cut likes to foxtail. This sample is as dense as I've seen the buds from clone.

6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly
broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates
a pronounced presence. Delete the existing space when marking a
descriptor in order to maintain the columns in alignment.

4. __[5]__ State of dryness

Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.

5. __[10]__ Smoke ability

6. __[5]__ Smoke expansion

Some expansion. Much more on the fresher samples, but I still have to take it easy with this jar.

SMOKE TEST COMMENTS: Absolutely delicious. A good bit of the 'roadkill' side (stanky), and a lil bit of the 'pleasant' side (sweet) of things. The sample itself is killer after over 3 months.

1. __[]__ Dosage
Fat bowlsworth

2. __[2]__ Effect onset

Rate how quickly the effect hit from 1-10 immediate-major creeper.

3. __[7]__ Sativa influence

Rate the sativa influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Sativa
influence is best described as a clear and energetic mental effect.

4. __[3]__ Indica influence

Rate the indica influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme. Indica
influence is best described as a sedative, lethargic or numbing
effect that affects the body.

5. __[10]__ Potency

Rate the potency of the sample from 0-10 none-devastating.
I don't care what the science says. I'm higher from 2 hits of this than I would be from 2 hits of the came cut 2-4 weeks cured. This is strong bud to begin with, but it HAS perceptibly gotten stronger over time.

6. __[*]__ Duration

Indicate the number of hours the effects lasted.

7. __[3]__ Tolerance build up
Haven't noticed much of a tolerance build up with this cut, but it hasn't been in rotation for a while. The LaNina's as a group seemed to have less of a tolerance build up (or at least a longer lasting high) than the SSH's did.

8. Usability

Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day
to consume this strain and a nine represents the ideal time of day.
Leave field(s) blank if you have not yet formed an opinion.

Morning - wake up [9]
Day - work [9]
Evening - relax [9]
Night - sleep [9]
All damn day. Unless you have to smell like something other than a skunk wrangler.

9. __[10]__ Overall satisfaction

Rate your overall satisfaction from 1-10 poor-Holy Grail.
The smoke is close to perfect. Bag appeal of the cut (generally a lil looser than this sample) is killer, and the smoke is close to perfect. When I do have LN on rotation, I tend to pretty much JUST smoke outta that jar.

10. __[5]__ Ability and conditions*
I have a high tolerance.

11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use?

Yes [x]
No []

Firesmoke. The fact that she's 'practical' is a bonus.

12.Rate the noticeable effects on a scale of 1-9 mild-severe. Take

Well, this cut wraps up my stash for a while. The sample is not cured like everything else, it was put in the jar ~3 days ago. Whatever, it is still fire. MasterKaze cut, ~70 days, as a bush in a ~3.5gal soil pot. Green fire, lol.

FUNK. Skunky, hashy, kushy fuelly funk. Growing it was REAL stong smelling, the buds are pretty stinky (even if a lil green) now.

3. __[9]__ Taste

Real funky. Very different from most of the other plants that I've grown. One of the best things about MrN is the distinct flavors in each line. They each have a range, but, IMO, each strain is quite different fro each other.

Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.

5. __[6]__ Smoke ability

This bud smokes similar to some of the Devil's that I ran, but with much more kush and fuel. It is like a 'contemplative indica'. Not couch lock, but be VEEEEWWWWYYY quiet, I'm hunting wabbit.

6. __[*]__ Duration

Indicate the number of hours the effects lasted.
Doesn't seem to last all that long, but again, testing a fresh sample, and I can do better growing her.

7. __[3]__ Tolerance build up
Seems like I get blasted for ~20 minutes, then a pretty distinct fall off to the high. I have been getting ripped each time I smoke. I can't properly report on tolerence yet, cause I opnly have ~3grams of this bud (well, like a gram and a half left) right now. I'll be stuffing some jars with it (hopefully) in a few weeks.

8. Usability

Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day

Nice potent indica leaning high.

9. __[8]__ Overall satisfaction

Rate your overall satisfaction from 1-10 poor-Holy Grail.
The smoke is different from what else I have had. It is a 'look-listen' indica with killer kushy notes to the buds. I've been spoiled with the cured bud, so this is sort of a let down. I will do a proper report on this cut in due time.

10. __[5]__ Ability and conditions*
I have a high tolerance.

11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use?

Yes [x]*
No []

It's a keeper based on flavor, stone, and flower time. She finishes well before 9 weeks, and I like the high and smell a lot. If I can get her to yield, I'll prolly keep her. She will be run against ~10 'contender' cuts this spring. 12 cuts, 2 spots.

Whattap, fam :^D I didn't ferget about this thread, I just didn't have anything new to yap about. Well... Now I do. :^P

Gonna break from that LONG smoke report and try to just summarize the 5 things that I consider important. A 5 tool player is one who excels in:
Yield
Speed
High profile
High strength
Bag appeal

SMOKE REPORT 2.0

IDENTIFICATION

Judge: [PatrickStar]
Date: [3/19/10]
Strain: [JerseyFresh - seedplant]
Breeder:[BillyBueno]
Grower: [PatrickStar]

YIELD - 8 with an asterisk
Well, this plant gave up 18+g from a 16oz beer cup. Great yield. Plant didn't stretch too much, and the buds were 'spaced' a lil, creating 'stem gaps' instead of colas. Even still, HARD lil golfball sized buds.

SPEED - 10 with an asterisk
She went ~45 days after first flower, and ~60 days of 12/12 after ~2/3 weeks 12/12. Very fast plant, sped up through root restriction.

HIGH PROFILE - 4
Not great. Very indica dominant smoke - expansive, with a lethargic, dulling high. Not a KO indica, but smoke a lil too much, and I end up napping (20+ cups of coffee daily usually keeps me from napping, lol). No headache or nausea or anything, but smoking this during the day means that I will be smoking sativa at night, lol.

STRENGTH - 7
Nice, strong nugget. It's not CRAZY strong, but it's not a slouch, either. Tough to finish a 1/2g in 1 sitting, and I stay high for a decent while. Definite indica ceiling, whereas I smoke, get as retarded as I'ma get, and then no higher.

BAG APPEAL - Niner
Hard frosty buds make the kiddies drool. Plenty of density, plenty of frost. The dry buds smell like watermelon bubilicious with a kushy kicker. The smoke is a nice fruity musk with a LIL skunk behind it.

Hope you all like the new format. It just seems to make more sense this way if there are pix. No point in telling you all my opinions on trich% or bud color if I'm judging from the same pix, lol.

Strain: [JerseyFresh - 2 seedplants]

Grower: [PatrickStar]

Yield - 5
Small, single cola plants with dense frosty nugget. Not a hell of a lot of a vigor + less than ideal conditions + 2weeks vegged from seed = small plants.

Speed - 7
Took these 2 ~8 weeks after first, and ~10 weeks after day 1 of 12/12. 8 weeks is fast for me.

High Profile - 7
They smoke like Spice. Nice floaty indica leaning smoke. No headache or burn or anything.

High Strength - 6
Strong, but not really long lasting. Similar to my mkaze cut in that reguard - hits hard right up front, but little staying power.

Bag Appeal - 8
They would be a 9, but they don't fill out 'enough' of the bag, lol. KILLER smells. These 2 are almost identical, and are incensy/soury/nutty/burnt rubbery. The smoke tastes similar to one of the SuperSpice cuts that I didn't keep (first page somewhere). Nutty, skunky, burnt rubbery. Hella frost.

Stupid proxy...

I had a lil bit tyed up about how much I loved my cuts, and how they kick ass (IMHO, lol) in the frost dept, because my 'practical roots' forces me to select not only killer smoking, but killer LOOKING plants. Yeah, then the proxy booted me.

Lol, thank you for the love, L :D Which ones do you like? I think that the ssh, superspice, and lanina keepers are ALL super photogenic (lol, photogenetics?).

Shoutout Bueno! You GOTTA have some dank outdoor somewhere by now. Anything that smells like...

Strawberry n linen incense???

Fukk yeah, Jersey Fresh!

Yield - 7
This plant did better than her sisters did, but was by no means a 'beast'. She slowly filled out, and surprised me when it was all over. Maybe ~25g out of the 2 gallon bag.

Speed - 8
Pulled 8 weeks after 1st, and done.

High Profile - 7
This IS a KO indica. Not really what I want to smoke all of the time, but it is a real deal whack to the medulla oblong-a-ta. The high is overpowering at first, but fades into an 'alert-stoned' feeling similar to the Devils and Mkazes. Deffo nice to wake and bake with or to burn after raking together an 8ft high pile of leaves...

High Strength - 8 with an if, 9 with a but
Like popping an ass zit, it is pretty intense - for about 40 seconds, lol. But (no pun intended) really, the high is REAL strong at first. Like 'had to back up off of it and set my cup down' strong. Then, it fades to a more mature, 'life is better slower, trust me' type thing. (Shout out if you understand. Fukk if you don't understand me - I LOVE being misunderstood, lol)

Bag Appeal - 9 (Prolly 10++ if you could care less about purple, haze, or bud density)
Dried buds smell like strawberry incense coming out of a dryer vent. NEVER smelled buds like these before. Dunno if it's the Swiss or the OG, but wow. Buds weren't real dense, which the indica kids seem to like. Less frosty than the first 3 plants, but amazing smells. Smoking tastes like fruity hash on the exhale, and leaves a smell in the room that is EVERY BIT as awesome as some lemony-tasting-haze-hybrid (and YES I love me some lemonytastinghazehybrids).

*I would have DEFFO liked to have run a few cuts of this a few times.

I stunted this plant pretty good.

Speed - ? (who knows what she should have done)
Pulled 8 weeks after 1st.

High Profile - 7
Smoking this for the first time, as I type, and seems to smoke a lil indy heavy. Prolly very close to the 2 plants that I grouped together.

(Paddy waits 5 min to finish the bowl...) - Deffo body/attention numbing effect.
High Strength - 8
Nice and floaty. Expansive ride on the red-eye express.

Bag Appeal - 8
More killer smells. Dry nug smells dead in between some REALLY sexy perfume and pif. Breaking up is like a dry 'artificial' strawberry thing. Smoke flavor is sweet/lemony/nutty on green hits, with a definate 'sausage' kicker on the bottom 1/2 of the bowl. Scrappy buds that were probably due to my grower error. Good, not 'AMAZING!' resin coverage :p.

That Devil was done ~41 degN, last frost ~May15, first frost ~Oct 15. She was pulled ~Oct 10-15 somewhere, and was done. Lol, I still have a bowl of that waiting for me to pack when I get back from planting in ~6 weeks :D

More reports soon come. DANK ASS SSH HYBRIDS.
