germination in soil.

Five days ago my mate brought over a straw of seed he had just received from MrN.
We soaked 45 seeds in bottled water and a couple of drops of kelp solution.
After 24 hours I put the seed into jiffy pots with a peat seed raising mix and put put them into igloos.
It is about 24° in my garden so no heat mats were used.
After 48 hours 36 of the 45 had sprouted.
After another day 6 more came up.
In the last 24 hours another 2 came up.
That is 44 from 45 after four days in soil. With one a twin.
The jiffies were planted into 150mm pots as soon as they showed, and are running under sodium splash from a veg, and a halide on them directly.
I had to replant one of them after a day, and the taproot had pierced the jiffy, and was about an inch long.
These are very good seeds. Thank you.

Agreed. MNS seeds have consistently been the best seeds when it comes to successful germination. I got 36/36 recently. I have yet to use jiffy pots and will add to my knowledge. Thanks for the tip and oh, btw what varieties did you braddahs launch?

Aloha

We planted critical mass.
Hoping to find a cpl of mums, that is why we germed so many.
Just got them on seaweed and fish extract (whole carp hydrolysate) with a drop of dolomite.
Cheers

I am yet to have a seed not to germinate. First grow in December 2018, i used the paper towel method, then changed to jiffy. now its soak in water and into soil, and mmm about 2 - 3 days i see the seedling:D
