Hi! I am 33, I live in a legal location to grow! I have been growing for 2 years. Just recently upgraded to a gavita 1700e LED and will never look back. I am here to learn more about plant management and I would really like to get into breeding. I am private, no company. Oh and I am a disabled vet so you can get ahold of me whenever. Anyway! Ty for reading this far, I am a sponge, let me soak up all the knowledge!

Sounds like an awesome light . If you have any particular questions just ask away . What one might not know someone else will. Welcome
Ps what do you have in mind with plant management?

Yup, thats pretty expensive if ya ask me. I could build the same or beter light rig for less then 500 bucks. That being said its is a good quality lamp they offer and you wont be dissapointed with their quality.

You're on brah! Do you provide a decal I can put on my car lol? Man, those are spendy- just for the lights!

🤙Mu

Hey, sorry I've been off for a few days. Can't seem to upload pics of my ladies, keeps saying file to big. Yeah it is expensive, I'm lucky though! Got it for 1400 us and my best friend jumped in like a hero and paid for half!

I currently run a full flood and drain with 40 gallon reservoir. The Gavita 1700e, 2 small fans, c02. Temps hold between 21 c and 31 c without any air conditioning or venting. Humidity holds at 30-50%.

I'm not going to lie, I hate cutting on my plants so I try to let as much as possible and prune very very little.

The leaves are the lungs of the plant. Every tiny bit of surface area is involved with the photosynthesis process.
How would you feel if 10% or more of your lungs was cut away ?
Unless you are cutting off branches for clones leave the thing alone, it will be a happier and healthier plant.
When it gets near harvest time those fan leaves act as food repositories which is why the plant will suck them dry and they either yellow or dry up.
Again, if those leaves are not there you are starving the plant right when it needs it the most.
Leave it alone, mother nature knows best.

Yes! This confirms what I was thinking. I see alot of people talking about lolipopping and trimming to maintain air flow and I'm thinking why would you do that! I'm going to get on my computer and try to compress the images so they can be posted here.

If you are on mobile there is an app called litphoto which works great and simple to compress images

My ladies 5 days ago. Only have 2 going at the moment. Trying to figure out how these Gelato grow.

And some more from today. I love sharing! Light included this time. Running 2.5 ec but I've noticed the smallest amount of tip burn. Also I put an ungodly amount of Cal Mag but I'm still getting leaves pulling left and right.

1900 euros per lamp her in europe.... Not cheap to say the least...
nope, but as was mentioned, someone got a DIY of Similar wattage and spectrum together for under 500 usd, or 900 or so euros. that is the beauty of this white w/ far red led board/bar gear. its so very much DIY friendly, and there are so many local to us(wherever we are) companies making led lights on par with the gavita, the hlg, or the fluence for way less. and you know I love my HLG's and Spider farmers. as you and everyone has read

beautiful!
500 USD =418 euros mate.
I don't have the guts to build my own led system.
I'm moving to a new housse this summer and will have the space to build a nice flower room of 3 to 4sqm.
I 'm considering to upgrade my lighting to 2x 630w CMH in remplacement of 600w mh/HPS I use.

my bad, last time I sent in to MR nice for a seed order was last time I did the conversion. was 1 dollar was 1.2euro at the time. and I am bad w/ math sometimes.
I too do not want to risk a DIY electrical project.
that sounds badass! my understanding is the 630w CMH is equivalent to the DE HPS in coverage but with great spectrum. CMH and the White w/ far red led have roughly the same spectrum from what I understand. have you seen the 945w CHPS bulbs? They look fancy.

spider farmer just released a 630 or so watt LED board that retails at 800 USD, and they are doing a 15% off sale according to a targeted add I saw. so that is 680 per fixture before any quantity discounts that may exist.
