In this world, wherever there is light - there are also shadows. As long as the concept of winners exists, there must also be losers. The selfish desire of wanting to maintain peace causes wars, and hatred is born to protect love.

The concept of hope is nothing more than giving up. A word that holds no true meaning.

When a man learns to love, he must bear the risk of hatred

Eh, you are both mistaken. Crowely borrowed the passage from Rebelais. Gardner aped crowely. Rebelais is the shit. His work is literally filled to the brim with awesome esoteric knowledge directly relating to the hemp plant. Did you know that the temple garments of the priestesses of Isis were made of hemp linen? I didn't either until I read Rebalais...

Pantagruel, both 'groups' I was associated with said the wiccan reed that way. Most of us followed a lot of Gardner's teachings, mixed with a little Dianic tradition. I'd be more than glad to hear Rebelais' original version. As you know, each tradition changes things a little as traditions get passed down.(Pssst... don't tell anybody I'm a witch! LOL!) :)

I probably do need to read from the older books. I just can't get into the old english. At one time, I had over $1, 000. vested in modern books. I let someone stay here who decided to 'get them out of the house', so she put them in a wheelbarrow in the sticker bushes behind the garage. I found them about 5 yrs later. Miss my books.(you know the type... bible thumper).

Yeah, I did know about the hemp fiber material. Much more original that cotton! Wasn't Betsy Ross' flag made from hemp, & most of the documents our founding fathers signed? Thomas Jefferson would be PISSED if he were here today.... what.... no hemp cloth!?!?
