EQ 2013 round 2

Ok Boys, round two. I placed 6 scarified seeds into a wet paper towel then into a zip lock bag with air inflation yesterday. 24 hours later 3 cracked, I am placed all six in 1.5" (4cm) rock wool cubes today. I am using regular tap water no ph adjusting. temps hi 70's (21C ish), water runs 6.5 to 7 on the PH scale not tested in awhile. They will be organically grown in soil as soon as the first true leaf appears.

Update will call this week one, I have five up out of six, wait for one to show, one note that seem consistent with my EQ is they come out fast and stretch. Let me know if other have noticed this. photos coming

I have 5 EQ up out of 6 waiting for the last one, I am starting in rock wool cubes 1.5" (4cm) , this is round 2 (EQ 2013 round 2), I have them under 4 cfl 22 watt 6500K lights hung 11" (28cm) above,The main point for me this week is to keep the rock wool cubes moistened about 30 ml water each cube, keep'm warm, no nutrients, I am using tap water PH is around 6.5 to 7. I will call this week 1.

update week 2.5 07/05/2013

So I had allot going on this past week so as a result I lost four of my five starts due to lack of watering (under watering), one survived, I cracked two more and they are up and growing, at this point I still considering this the same run but two will be one week behind, I will up date pictures soon. My method for starting has changed, I cracked the new seeds in wet paper towel then placed them directly into organic soil they seem to be doing really well. The one advantage to rock wool/ organic soil combo as apposed to just rock wool or just organic soil is rock wool/ organic soil stay moist longer this is an important key factor for me and the starts.

California Mexican

I've got my seat set up for this grow, early queen sounds super nice, great yield, very inexpensive seeds bound to be really good smoke to say least and something I'd like to see!

Female count

Higher N than K, blue light, short days, good temps no stress will guarantee well over 50/50 ratio more fems for good selection! Good luck my friend.

update 26 day flowering EQ2 2013

Hi group, just updating I have not forgot just been busy. So out of six seed starts I ended with three females:) just the perfect amount for my lights. Anyway my girls are 26 days into flower at 12/12 and organic soil, I'm fighting a fungus gnat infestation, I am keeping on top of it with dunks, fly tape and neem oil sprays. But I can not seem to rid myself of them, their everywhere. Ok here are a few pics current. Thanks for all the help.
Oh btw some of my leaves are drooping anyone know why: to hot, to much fert, bug weakening?
Oh also any ideas on my pheno type I am presenting?

Thanks arctic

Also I forgot to mention I covered the top with perlite, but I think sand would of worked better, perlite if light and blows around with the fan going.

fly tape at work

Fly tape at work.
I went and bought some diaomaceous earth and as a last resort "fruit and vegetable" insect and disease control spray by N*tri* it contains 0.20% sulfur and .001% pyrethrins won't use the latter until I try the diaomaceous earth.

Nice grow man I am just started my first LED run
I think the plants have to much fert. I would flush or just feed with plan H2o and they should bounce out of it. I usually use 50 to 75% the recommended amount.
i will be watching
I use neem , mosquito dunks and sticky traps to battle fungus gnats
good luck

good luck dude! I have seen little recent grows on this strain and am interested in doing it indoor and possibly putting the seedlings outside when the time comes.

up date day 33 of flower eq2

update day40 of flower eq2

this is day 40 of flower, things moving along, i'm seeing some amber calyx maybe 30% amber, I think my funus gnats are under control there slowing down and getting weaker, I hope my girls will fill some more, this is wishful thinking;) but I really'm proud of what I got now:eek:

Edit my mistake it is the piston's turning amber and not the cxlyx

update day 42 flower EQ

Update day 42 flower, ok I have a question, I do not have a micro scope so, before the invention of pocket microscopes how did growers determine when there crops are mature? I think my are there but I am not sure:confused:

Also I just took a sample to try and to my surprise I found a seed:)
