Update: day 48 of flower,
what I see this: my fan leaves are dieing back, my pistons turning amber and are shrinking and it looks like the calyx's are swelling, but I do not thin they're ready yet, I found and old 10x botany magnify glass, it works pretty good but has a small view though can't get really close to the trichomes.

Update day 55 into flower

Update 55 days into flower, i'm harvesting this one today, I thought I would have difficulty seeing amber trichomes not, they are visible even with 10x botany magnifier.

Looking good AH. I personally use a mini scope cause my eyes are bad. Judging by naked eye or feel is an art that takes lots of experience. More than I have, I admit.

Update drying, curing, nipping the bud (smoke)

Hi all just a short update, here is a couple of drying pics she has been hanging for one week in low light, at room temp drying, Im still getting a strong smell of green damp weed coming from her no sign of mildew, she is being dried whole. She was harvested at 55 days flowering. Oh yes she is my seed mother so I am anticipating seed from her aswell as smoke.

My other two are still cooking they are all most at 63 days and still no sign of finishing? Meaning more amber trichomes, looking at them under a 10x magnifier they are mostly milky but what I read is you want 40% amber tricomes so I am waiting and waiting, I hope this means some serious smoke happening.

And lastly I have to admit I have been nipping the bud since day 42 of flower, I will give a more detailed report after curing, but so far what I know which is limited is my EQ smoke is all head, with time space lapsing, EQ makes a real good day smoke, absolutely no couch lock effect,

And she has delayed effect, she is a sneaker (creeper weed effect).
Also the smoke from (the quick dried method EQ) is like a good tobacco smoke, it kind of reminds me of when I first tried to smoke tobacco as a young man, you inhale you may cough a couple times but not harsh at all, very little expansion, tobacco taste, btw the male flowers have the same taste. can't wait to tried cured bud!

Eq#3 coming down as well, 63 days flower, sugar leaf looks like amber city and I trimmed even less...

Canning Eq#1 she is 9 days room temp dry humidity in the room ave 48 to 51% temp 73F to 76F (23c to 24.5c) will add to the jars as the others dry.

My first harvest, Eq has a spot on my top shelf.
Smoke report and reflection to follow.
Here is one for starters, Now as my last two Eq near their time I have come to an sudden apogee of finality, (I though of this while I was stoned) its time to start a new batch of MNS seeds.
Ok last night I put into rockwool cubes.
4 Early Queens last of the bunch If I get at least one female, she'll be cloned till I can't clone any more of her and she'll be really fertilized this time none of this dub it on stuff with a q-tip) imo I think Eq would do good cloned then SOG or Srog I haven't done any of these techniques but would like to try for sure.

4 Dream Time sorted by size then (matching color)

1 Sensi Seed Shiva Skunk feminized, I feel more assured having one female, no offense intend by using Sensi Seed Shiva Skunk, but it is supposed to have nl#5 and skunk 18.5 I think.

I will be posting under Dream Time seed strain

Hey Tapioca, thanks I think #2 is a winner I will update all pics in a few days, just letting Eq do her thing.
So more, Eq has some interesting features I like for example,

I think Eq would do well blended with tobacco, or another strain or with three shots of good whiskey, I'm a ex smoker so I will probable will not do the first, I would like to do the second and the last I have done a few time and it is a good combo. Warning do not operate heavy equipment after or any equipment.

Very cool this was your first harvest. I remember mine well. Bagseed and I was lucky that I figured out she was a she.. Hydro drip system.. ah .. those were the days.

Jarred # 2 and 3 today

Today I Jarred # 2and 3, I think #3 could have gone longer main stem bent then broke when I tested it this is after I have clipped the buds off, 7 days hang dry time might have been a bit short for my Eq's. I
ll have to watch them closely for mold. Maybe I can put something in my jar baking soda, salt in the bottom?

Congrats on your first grow, it looks like a nice harvest. If you think your buds may still have too much moisture, take them out of the jars and put them in a paper sack for a day or so. A lot of times just leaving the lids off the jars for a bit can do the job too. Any pronounced aromas? Enjoy your harvest.

Congrats on your crop, try putting some uncooked rice in the bottom of the jars they will absorb moisture I do this to my seeds once dried and left in the fridge, did you find anymore seeds in your harvest?
