Default Sweet potato for blood ptessure cobtrol.

Hello everyone.
I was checking out nutraceutical food to use for blood pressure control.
I found this interesting info on camote tops.
You can eat sweet potato tips as a green vegetable, and they have a couple of really interesting effects.
The kumara root is very healthy. It is alkalising, fibrous and high in anti oxidant pigment.
The growing tips are valuable in their own right.

They are used in Philippines as a folk medicine for blood pressure control.
I started picking the immature tips, just the top two leaves and tip, to eat as a salad vegetable.
You could fry it or use it in a boil up/stew/soup also.
The immature leaf is still forming, so it is very high in enzymes and nutritious vitality.
It is quite tasty, and I started eating up to 60 tips a day.
Within a week my systolic blood pressure had dropped 20 points.

When I looked a bit more into it, it had some other valuable properties as well.
It was tested along with 70 other plants in search of cancer fighting ability.
It was at the top for anti-mutagen and anti-tumorent action.
So it inhibits cell mutation ( cancer formation ) and tumor growth.

This is an easy to grow, great tasting and very valuable nutraceutical food.
Especially for people who choose to smoke.
I hope more people will eat it as a vegetable.

Hey man.
140 systolic is almost hypertension.
My doctor tried to put me on some meds earlier this year.
Told me I would be on them for life ( lipitor )
He reckons my cholesterol was genetically predisposed to skyrocket.
I shuffled my diet and went from 9+ down to 3.9
I had to go vegan for a couple of months.
He would of been happy for me to take that medicine the next 50 years.
Lots of little tweaks you can do, and they all add up.
Hope you can work it out soon.
