Default powdered fan leaves

Does eating dried powdered capsuled fan leaves work as a painkiller?

My grandma has serious permanent backache. Only opiate based painkillers ease the pain. Because of her age and the side effects she can't use them.

Thats why I ask.

I imagine as long as the material is not pressed before drying, then the compounds should still be there. In fact I think THCa and CBDa will be higher by dry weight since the water has been evaporated off.
