Amazon.com: Hemp: Lifeline to the Future (9780963975416): Chris Conrad: Books

If you can find that book, I recommend it, its 100 pages or more of great ideas of what you can use the cannabis plant for.

one of the things in the book that really interested me was how you can make plastic from hemp. I used to work for a plastics co and all of our clients where looking for more "green" products

hempcrete is cool too.

i like the idea of this thread. there are a thousand things you can make from the plant besides medicine.
But what other plant could you grow that would provide just about all the basic necessities of life?

Are there many differences in the quality of these other products made from hemp plants vs medicinal plants?

I have always wondered wether rope and things could be made from plants that are bred to have high thc rather than fiber content.

they have done studies with skunk#1 and using it for hemp fibers.

Most of the differences in the plant really have to do with cultivation techniques then anything. Most hemp is grown for its fiber so it is picked before it flowers anyway.

if you took hemp seeds and grew them spaced out they would have a normal profile.
