Default Curing Containers?

My first full harvest is coming up and I dont really have a system yet. I was just reading about the possibility of storing the bud in air tight plastic bins. Maybe the container store has something like this, yes? What are some possible solutions here?

I was thinking that I would hang the bud for a week and then put it into my bins for another week. Need to be air tight bins and easy to open I should think.

Good for at least a days worth of herb in them, too...

PDT - make sure you don't let your herbs stay moist in closed containers as they may mould. Make sure you let them breath at least once a day until fully dried and well into curing - if only for a minute...

Are you really a ProDayTrader? I didn't see that Japanese Yen intervention coming a few weeks back... I wonder if it took others by surprise too. Hehe - damn FX.

Hi Prodaytrader and dudes

I use the glass coffee jars I buy my coffee in, clean them up when finished, remove the labels, make sure they are dry and clean, and voila. Benefits you for storage of buds, the lids are usually plastic, so you can drill air holes in if needed, the glass does not give off any odour and easy to see your bud, plus you are reusing your waste ( the coffe jars )

As grover sativa said, dont pack moist bud in there, mould will kill them. Pop the jars once a day. Leave in front of fan for a 5 minutes each day to make sure the air flow goes thorugh all the buds and in a couple weeks you got some class A smokeable herb.

Enjoy.

Lol, I hear you. Sometimes I feel like a monkey here in South Africa as I put my massive hands in a jar, take a bunch of bud and cant get my hand out the jar. That is what farmers do to try and keep monkeys away!!!

glass jars, got it. why reinvent the wheel?

So hang for a week, then into the jars for another week (opening daily)?

"Are you really a ProDayTrader?" - yes (series 7, 63 & 55), but these days I consider myself a pot farmer! LOL

Default SMELL

I use the canning jars and the sizes used are full or close - everything great except cant get the smell after drying hanging and rehydrating and curing time allowed and smells killer before harvest and trim. why? Seeds are from shanta line so not the problem. Thanks

i always roll with the mason jars...there are a number of companies, plastic can affect the smell and taste so go with the glass mason jar/canning jars...no need to reinvent the wheel as the canning jars work fantastic and keep that taste and smell as fresh as possible
