Back to the Roots - Nordle in Soil May 2011

Right. Time to crack on with this..

Before I went away I was faced with a slight problem. I had to decide what to do about growing when I got back. I decided that if I potted some rooted clones the day before I went away and gave them a good watering that they would be nice and healthy when I got back..

I was right. I was told that the weather prior to last wed has been very good and my wifes sister even popped round and gave the babies some water and checked on our bugs.

I was really surprised when I got back to find my plants in such good health. I potted them into 11L pots as they were almost root-bound in their 4.5L's - Next step was let them fill out a bit in their new pots and then into the flower room under a 600w MH where they have been since Wednesday. The light cycle had been 18/6 and then I hit them with 24 hours darknes and into 12/12 as of this evening.

They have been potted in Bio-Biz All Mix and I will be using Bio-Biz Nutes as I have 5L of Grow and Bloom from my soil growing days.

So in the flower room we have the temps set for 18C Min and 28C Max
Room Humidity will be controlled by a small Humidifier that you can see in the first pic. I have that set to keep it at a nice constant 75% at this early stage and I will reduce it once the buds start forming.

I have a few things I will be testing out like Neem oil and some custom made tea's that I have messed about with before. I guess you could say this grow will be 100% organic but you never know..

hi Doobz i was just reading your original Nordle grow this morning, good luck with this one :)

Doobz 05-15-2011 10:18 PM

thanks mate.. Some very good plants. Possibly the best I have grown before..

Hey Elmer. That's very interesting about the purples mate. I have noticed this type of thing on plants that share the same father but a different mother in the cross and it only seems to happen outdoors..

Just keep an eye on the Nordle and try not to take it too far otherwise the smoke can be a bit too narcotic and one or two smokes and you'll be out for the count for most the day.

haha, your not alone in the curing side of things mate. We always have good intentions to save our bud for a good cure but 8/10 times it gets smoked or swapped in the first 2/3 weeks after drying..

tonight was their first full watering since they moved up into the loft.

All I gave them was H20 and some molasses.

Temps Lights on 25C
Temps Lights out 19C

RH Lights out 88%
RH Lights on 67%

Hey Doobz, I really like the look of these plants. I have a couple of Mango that have a similar look and they are my favorite. I think it is the skunk in it that makes it look so good but not sure.

Not sure too. The Mr.Nice Genetics are of a good pedigree so they do seem to look more healthy then some other strains

Wee Bit of an update.. I must be considered a good customer by my local hydro shop. I was down there today pricing some stuff up for a mates grow in some place in Wales when he handed me two new 600W Philips Greenpower HPS bulbs and told me to try em out..

So tonight the plants have had a change in lighting from the 600W MH to the 600 Greenpower that are meant to last a whopping 6 months..

You can see how much brighter they are for yourself in the pics..

1st one is the MH
2nd one is Light off
3rd one is the greenpower
