He actually solves his own riddle in this one sentence. A paradox only exists when the exit of the worm hole is within the same universe as the entrance. When you discuss the multiverse, and the entrance is in one universe and the exit is in another universe, (both having different times) the feedback that he worries about later in the story, isn't created. Of course it means that you aren't actually time travelling, but universe hopping, and getting home again becomes impossible, but for a one way observational trip, it is theoretically possible. Lets look at the paradox he discusses in light of this. He looks through the worm hole and sees himself sat in his wheel chair, picks up the gun, and shoots himself dead. Given that there are 2 of him, (one in each of these universes) one shoots and one dies. No paradox is created.

All pretty basic really, but gets the viewers in to watch the tv show that some tv company made to profit off this man's genius, and blows a few minds I guess.
