2012 edit....
as i go back thru this thread from the beginning, i see it doesnt run quite as smooth as id like, my fault at least on the first 6 or so pages. Youll have to wade and sift thru the first page, as it turned mostly into a flash mob 90īs trance room, not sure how exactly, but anyway, the next pages i had to delete about 50 or so posts i made on this thread and several others a year or 2 back after a security scare. either way, please enjoy the love reggae built

Saw burning spear at glastonbury some years ago, he really is amazing on the bongo drums, and the band just DROP into dub in such a snap, pure LIVE experience.

Bob - One Dub

I've only met a handfull of peeps who saw the man LIVE and they had a special charm about them too!

Peace and magic

I am happy to see others overstand and listen to some roots dub...augustus pablo produced some jacob "killer" miller tunes (anyone else seen Rockers) congos, I saw Mikey Dread in PDX (i was a very intimate show the crowd was on the same level as the musicans and i could see the wisdom in his weathered eyes as he was less then one meter away.ome new stuff i been listen to are SOJA, Groundation....................

Great thread, DREAD...

I once saw Jah Shaka at some Polytechnic or other in Holloway/London. His spliff was MASSIVE and he played all night (7pm-2?..3? so fucking loud, when we first went in we had to walk straight back out man!

Fishermans Dub was always a winner for me...

Welcome to BlackBoard Jungle,

Grovers stoned man, I think hes drugged or somink?...
You need to be speaking to my man G. He has the worlds biggest collection of dub n reggae. I mean truely massive!

Coincidentally he also has the worlds largest collaction of proper spaghetti westerns. 'Django the bastard' n stuff like that.

Went to Glasto like 6 or 7 times... too commercial and money oriented now.
Hardcore Techno? Spiral? Goa?
drum n bass? old skool?
how far bk?
late 80?Depford? Castle morton? Devils dyke?
Coming back to my man...

now we're talkin:D

Whats the definition of reggae then? i mean i cant tell the difference its all music to me. Anyway here a couple of tunes i listened to a few years back. Now why youtube took away "get ready" i dunno :( Damn i woulda posted that aswell but it doesnt seem to be there anymore.

This one seemed appropriate

What about lol i dunno if that counts.

Youtube suffers from a serious lack of bass.
