Default US congress votes to legalize hemp

Today the US House voted to pass a bill to legalize hemp in the 2018 Farm Bill that the Senate voted to pass previously. All that has to happen for it to become law is Trump to sign it now. He is expected to do that, as there are more than enough votes to easily override a veto of this bill.

The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 will remove hemp (defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% THC) from the Schedule 1 controlled substances list and make it an ordinary agricultural commodity. North American Cannabis legalization is moving at a fast clip now. I know many people that said that hemp would NEVER be legalized in the US at the federal level. I also know people that also refused to believe that marihuana would ever become legal in Mexico. Or in Canada. Never say never.
