I read about freezing seeds in the book, Marijuana Potency that came out in 1977. So I started freezing my then small seed collection, thinking I would grow more weed in a few more years. Well, I did that and then some. I still get 60%+ germination rates. 3 years ago I got 100% germination from 2 lots that are over 40 years old. I find no need to make fresh seeds. I do large runs of IBL and F1 crosses. A few hundred seeds of each strain is all I need for the next three lifetimes. Several people are also growing my old landrace strains around the globe today, and a lot more are growing my newer ones.
