Cool 3/29/12 day 16 veg

Many these things are growin like weeds.
I would say 3/4 - 1 inch a day now. Man these hempy buckets kick ass. The soil plant is doing as most said it would and Burning up. I am going to water it straight water for next few waterings. I am watering every other day since i got my room temps somewhat under control for now. The reservoirs are completly empty after 48 hrs. Still watering the 3 Mgirls with full stength veg state nutes per technaflora. The hempy bucket Mgirl is approx 3" taller than the soil plant and looks a hell of alot better. I am eagerly excited to yield the outcome and just have butterflys in my tummy.

All my babies!!

Side By Side

I noticed the supersilver have a odd leaf and growth pattern! Crazy

MountainGirl #2

I am pleased with the growth rate and Will be back wit more updates soon. Damn this growing thing sure is addictive!!

id go with either if heat is a concearn

but when heat is not an issue you wont beat a MH (not HPS) for vegging

i use less mh and more cfl in summer months and the other way around in winter

EDIT , a 2 ft 4 bank t5 would go nice in there and give off very little heat , but , be aware , t5's and cfls do give off heat , not as much as HID lighting , but a lot more then the manufacturers let on

yea i think im gonna go with CFL, but thats later down the line. need to get my first grow under belt first! thanks for tip.

best of luck

next time you use soil , soiless , or even dirt , airate it , add a lot of perlite , once you figure things out you will find a nicely airated soiless mixture can and will out perform a passive hydro bucket and the finished buds will also taste better

yes growing is adicting , it is a wonderful hobby

peace

You and PATstar must be on the same ship. He seems a soil guy too. Thats interesting to know. I figured all hydroponics was better than any soil grown plant. But yea the soil is straight from the bag miracel gro potting soil. Thanks for tip

there are exceptions to everything

typically hydro will yeild more , but not everyone is a typical grower

dial in a good airy soiless and watch your plants EXPLODE

you will however need to water an airy soiless more often , just like you need to water passive hydro more often

but its worth the effort as the finished product is far superior in yeild , smell , taste , and effect IMO

peace

Hi Matt, just been browsing through your thread. Looks like your plants are off to a flying start which is good.

When you feed the girls what's your ph? I try to keep my ph as close to 5.9 as possible. I think a suitable range for your Hempy buckets are 5.6 - 6.2 or something like that.

I checked your cab thread too. Nice cab

thanks bud! well as a noob. I only bought the cheap ass test paper PH testers. My ph has stayed between 5.5 and 6.5 but unfortunatly with those papers u cant get a very accurate reading. a good ph meter is in the future... Update comin tomorrow. I think i see PRE FLOWERS forming.IDk
