Trippy.

Hey if you are getting clones to root right off the bat, you either lucked into building a tight space (like me) or you have a green thumb. Lookin forward to seeing your power plants....er....plant.... grow

lol yeah ok

ahem

anyways, I have a question for you guys a little later on (I need to get a foto or 2) - two of the larger clones look like its time to top them - but I'm actually struggling to count the nodes.... I think that they were trimmed in a staircase fashion, so need to be sure I'm counting correctly

edit - I plan to top them in a few days after they've had a week to get used to their new home
edit 2 - these two are intended mothers, one is healthy from day1 and one arrived sick - both are in soil and not being fed anything but rain water

Jamie, clones will generally have the nodes alternating (zig-zag, staircase), as they are from mature plants. The plant only grows the 'even nodes' for ~ the first 2 mo. Once it is a mature plant, It will zig zag whether in veg or flower. Just count the nodes where each separate 'zig' is a node. You can top clones as soon as they are rooted if they are otherwise healthy.

Hey if you have 2, maybe top/fim one, and bend/LST the other one. It will give you a feel for training, and either method is good for starting bonsai moms. Plus, you won't freak when you get a tall plant, you'll just lean it over, and light the WHOLE cola ;p
