Default Questio about the Flip...

If my lighting schedule starts 16 on/8 off then flip to flowering, but start lights On at the same time of day when lights went off during vegetative.
Will this increase hermie tendencies?

How much stress have any of you experienced with your plants if you have made this light scheduling shift?

I think making sure the roots are well established before you flip will help minimize the risk of a "hermie" .

Why 16/8 and not 18/6?

Hi. I've had light failures in the past without any herm issues. I think that people are too over cautious about "a minute's light outta synch once in a purple moon will herm up your crop"

Because you wanna alter the light start up time on flip, I'd recommend a 24hr dark period just before the flip. I'll even swear to God that doing this won't herm (or harm) your crop no matter what anyone says. It's not as if you're changing your light times daily or even weekly.

So to recap, 24h(ish) darkness then flip at your desired start time

Awesome. Yeah, that's what I had already done. The main thinking had always been to really key the plant know it's time to flower. It made sense to me, just wanted to confirm.
