Default 250w White Berry Scrog Run

Hey Guys

So I was thinking of doing another Indoor run, but tbh, Indoor growing scares me a bit. For some reason I always end up with certain issues like, ph, nute burn or lock outs and that basically put me off from growing indoor. The funny thing is that the strain I had indoor was doing so bad , but the one outdoor was doing great.

So I am trying again and I will be asking a lot of help maybe. I've never done the White Berry before. I got the cutting from a friend and last night I split the cuttings. He has the thing to put 4 cuttings into a 15cm pot. Its perfect for space saving but splitting them is just to risky. But 2 of the 4 rooted well and the other 2 , well let's just say they aren't doing so good. They haven't rooted at all, but I hope that they will root. I repotted the one into a 15cm pot because she will be kept as a mother until the new season. The other cutting was heading for a 15cm as well but a 15L pot intercepted and now she is at home with a screen over the pot.

I am gonna attempt a scrog , but if it fails ( somehow ) then it'll just be a screen to open the plant up.

So yeah , here is the basics of the grow:

Area: Indoor
Lights : 250w MH for veg and HPS for flower with diy air cooled hood
Light Cycles : Gas Lantern 12-1
Pot : 15L
Strain : White Berry from Paradise Seeds
Food: Seagro and Guano
Soil : 40% Coco Coir
45% Perlite
15% Compost

Additives: Bonemeal

The mix drains very well and that makes me happy because I have learned the hard way. Most people frown on the gas lantern effect, but I have used it once before on a white widow run and it was perfect. TBH, its more perfect for me because it fits into my daily schedule. I hate leaving lights on when I'm at work and with this cycle only an hour of light is on while I'm gone. Shit can get crazy in an hour yes, but raher an hour on than all day.

So yeah guys, let the games begin ( on my side atleast )

Love and Light

Pete

Default first day not so good

Hey Guys

So this morning after the repot session I thought to myself :

" why not put her under the 250w but far away from the light ??? "

So I did that. She was placed 50cm away from the bulb and after 30 minutes she started wilting. I moved her back to the windowsil where she recovered well and then another thought popped in my head.

" why not swop the HID out for a Cfl ??? "

So I did that and its been a couple of hours now and everything looks good. I even brought 2 other cuttings in too. I will only be giving these cuttings 24/0 light to compare against the others.

I already lost one of the unrooted cuttings early after the repot. Not sure what happened, but atleast the other one looks good. I will update again when some action has taken place.

Love and Light

Pete

Ahoya

So the cutting has definitely taken and new growth is luscious. It will still be a bit before I can tie her down to any part of the screen, but I hope that it won't be to long. Very amped to flower this Lady.

I will post pics only when I start tying down or is it better to just keep it under the screen ???

Love and Light

Pete

Doing well it seems make sure you pay attention to all the small details on indoor growing. Environment is key if you have good temps and airflow this will greatly help your success rates. Plants really enjoy blue light, even in flower indoor until they start to push buds then a hps helps finish them. If you are using organics. Ph isn't super important let your nutrient mix for a while before you water and it should buffer, if not use silica for up and humic or fulvic for down

Ahoya Weezy

I am gonna spend this weekend cleaning out the cab. Its quite dirty and I am ashamed of it. So it'll get a GOOD clean. I read that a bleach/water mix is good for cleaning and disinfecting.

You say they like a blue spectrum more so I will be swopping bulbs this weekend as well to MH. I always prefer MH but our summer has been so hot that I swopped to HPS due to the MH giving of more heat. I have 1 x 120mm fan circulating the air, 1 x 120mm fan exhausting spend air. My DIY aircooled hood has 2 x 80mm fans pulling the hot air out.

True about letting the feed mix stand for a bit. I was thinking of getting a digital ph pen and keeping my feed and water at 6.5 constanly. And yeah, I'm going organic. But I'm also super tempted to go for chem's again. I did a pretty ok run few seasons back.

Default Cab Info

So I did a bit of cleaning today. I also swopped the HPS out to a MH. The black crate on the bottom is for storage of nutrients and botlles and shit.

The cab dimensions is:

920w x 1500h x 420d

The grow area is:

920w x 680h ( distance to glass panel)x 420d

920w x 820h ( distance to bulb ) x 420d

I will be veging a Jack Herer alongside the white berry for a while so I will post pics of her as well. She is almost half way scrogged and growing at a good rate.

The White Berry has also come along really well. Her growth is strong and will be tying a screen down soon and start scrogging her.

Looks really good both plants should grow a lot in flower, I would flip my lights at about a half full screen and then train it to fill the rest in the first 7-10 days of flower. If they strech too much still use super cropping if you are unsure of what it is, use YouTube or Google your set up looks like you put a lot of effort into it so I hope you get s great return!

The screen on the Jack Herer is just past half way and almost going for 3/4. I was not planning on flowering her but rather letting her go once the screen is full by taking cuttings and when the White Berry is ready then I want to flower hem both or maybe I'll start with the Jack. I don't know man. Choices hey.

The Jack's screen is not compact the way I want so I'll have to train a few branches. But I'll post pics this weekend to show you what I mean.

The cab was quite a job yeah. And transporting that in a small car is no fun. LoL. I'm planning on upgrading to a 400 or 600w next season. Actually I want to get myself a grow tent. The cab is cool but the tent will make it so much better.

Default White Berry update

Ahoya all

Last night I did not carry in my plants for extra light hours because we had visitors and mybmind was elsewhere. LoL.

So I did not see her last night and I think it was a good thing because I could now see how she grew. I will be tying her down (hopefully) daily or 2nd day. As you can see from the pic she grew quite a bit since the last photo. Some of the bottom growth is starting catch up and one has grown past the screen, but not so much that I can tie it down yet.

I will give her a Afri-Kelp feed tomorrow. Its a seaweed extract and the plants love it. I have enough left for about 3 feeds. Then its over to seabird guano. I have read up on making your fertilizer and have come to a point where I want to give it a try. At first I want to give seaweed a try and Stinging Nettle. I can get hold of seaweed easily and stinging nettle grows everywhere here. If any of you have any nice links to homemade fertilizer it will be much appreciated.

Default White Berry Update

Ahoya

A pic of the lady

She is coming along strong. I would be able to tie her down daily but the squares are a bit to big. But that's fine cause I have time, but what I don't have time for is:

SPIDERMITE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I found. A couple on a leaf and with closer inspection I found much more. The attached pic of the Garlic is my defense against the bastards. I have crushed up 2 cloves and poured boiling water ovetcand now its steeping away till it cools down. I will add that to a liter of water and spray away.

The Sativa Dom plant is the Jack Herer I was talking about. She has very little time to go before i start flowering her
