Default peat pots are good !

I use peat pots for cloning, and the seeds always!

peat moss grows in large amounts here in kiwi land and is a good source of Nitrogen to, now what i like about using peat pots is i can keep them still in noting but a peat pot right up till the next grow if need be,

when they show the first root mass comming through there sides i can use them then and or just leave em in the cloning bin like that for up to 8 weeks,
The first roots brown off and then the roots stay in a stunted state for that 8week period, they dont get to big either, but not a very good habbit to get into doing all the time though, as they might not flower as quickly as the others that wern't in that stunt like state,

now that ive got some mother plants again il use those bloody rock wool cubes i suppose, i can fit more clones in a tray of these is why.

hey #

i use cloning gel but u realy need a heat mat but some use hot water bottle on the cheap, rockwool is the easiest way by far, keep ph at 5.5 and ec at 1.0 till it grows through first little cube then gradually raise ec slowly till u reach 1.4 , keep em there 4 2 weeks. if u get a tiny bit of nute burn then back it of a tad. the plants will tell u whats going on. good luck
