Prof JJ I cannot agree more about their growth exploding. I had an extra plant that I did not expect to grow this outdoor season. I made a tea that decomposes dead matter fast, and put it on an area of dried peat held together by dead roots of other non cannabis plants in a swamp(the rotten material at the bottom is a great fertilizer). It was like 8 inches tall, and 5 days later it was about 1.5 feet tall. It is also the greenest of all my plants of the same strain

Used works better most of the time.A good flush,etc... should get rid of pests.

It is not costly so new is an option.

After using new perlite and it causing a lockout I now wash and then soak new perlite in pH corrected nute mix.
It has a lot of dust and whether it has calcium in it Im not sure but I get much better results by charging perlite like one does other mediums.

Few years ago I had a small start of spider mites in my greenhouse. I wanted to get them taken care of ASAP, so I bought a flat of Marigolds & put them near the problem area as Marigolds are supposed to repel the mites. In just a few days the marigolds were so covered in the mite webs they looked like snow cones before the flavor is added, but the Maryplants were OK.

Later I found that Marigolds attract spider mites. At least I saved the medicine. Now I double check my info as I got the Marigold spider mite thing way wrong. I think I had some very good fortune in that adventure.

I'd dump the stuff & get new perlite.
