I have several strains that will autoflower if they get root bound but never saw one herm over it. But there are many stressors that may be causing your herm farm.

Yellowjacket, never thought of doing a controlled light thing like you described. Sounds like a good idea.

That wouldn't make them get feminized would it? The seeds that is.

Way cool. Gotta be better than spraying with colloidal silver water. Seems more natural to do it with a shaft of light.

Do you fix it so only a part of the gal gets the shaft? Pun optional. Like putting up a piece of cardboard with a hole in it for a screen? Seems like a cardboard tube or pvc pipe would channel the light to just one spot on the selected lady & could be attached to the cardboard screen.

Make sinse?

Let's see, the lady gets the shaft, Yellowjacket gets the goldmine. Nice reversal.

I'm simpler than that, I leave the tent flap beside her open and she gets background light for a few nights in a row. Usually get from 3 to 10 beans from whole plant. I do it after stretch is done and budsets are growing.

U may have to experiment but that's fun too. Just don't ruin a whole tent. IOW if necessary take that 1 out for a few nights. Worst case it herms and is a total loss since ya don't want it in w the ladies.

Yeah they shouldn't I saw a guy here stressed his plants too hermie fixed the problem and all the clones were good reveging may add stress but Joe King Park here is a pro at reveging and don't have any trouble. The seeds should definitely be fine too if its just a light leak and you fixed it but how bad of a leak? if it's just a pin hole you may have stressed them another way.

Ah, you guys will really love this....

No such thing as a light induced hermie...its genetic and nothing more.

If you'd stop and think for yourself....why doesn't every outdoor grow go hermie after a lightning storm?
What happens outdoors when there is a particularly bright fullmoon?

Yea, light induced hermies are a myth started by people making excuses for shat grows.
Period.

I'm yet to meet a plant I couldn't herm out, lol .. every plant has the capability...
I agree that light induced hermies gets overused, without ever hearing of under/over feeding, climate control etc being mentioned . Apples and oranges in and out though .. light induced stress is a real thing... grown outdoors under street light without issue, move plants to same area during flower and watch what happens...
