My Gelato Experiment, Ebb N Flow Gavita 1700e

I thought so too. Unfortunately I am going to post some more pics tomorrow that are troubling. Even though I have reduced the ec to 1.8 still seeing new tip burn on the right side plant. The left side plant is happy as a clam. I am at a loss. Still trying to real her back in. On the other hand, the plant on the right is producing a lot more flower than the left....

What EC/PH does your brand recommend?
1.8 is best for pot basic runs and advanced runs up to 2.2

But your buds are awesome considering.

When I do PK I keep my EC the same just use less bloom. Some people add them to the mix.

Gelato is indica dominant I presume? Of you ever grow a more sativa dominant strain I would be very careful with higher doses of EC.
You can evaluate perfectly how much they consume given you are growing hydroponics. So you can adapt your schedule to each specific strain.
Each strain, specially hybrids, have their own way of expressing themselves and we should always listen to the signals.
But at the very end of flowering I would not fix anything but concentrate on the bud.

Ars you going to give her water at the end? She will turn yellow then and that is good. We grow weed, no leaves :)

I love all of you! Uplifting words turned my frowns upside down. Here is some bud pics. I am going to run clearer at the end of next week. Then I am going to run pure ro for a the final week.

Day 51. 7 days till harvest. The problem plant has been moved to the left side. It's still limping along. Producing significantly more bud than it's sister. But it smells like yard clippings unless you get real close. Her smaller sister on the other hand has a heavenly aroma and nice hard nuts. The flush starts today.

Sweeeeeet you grow Gelato!!! You ever had two gelatos act so differently like mine?

i have not grown the gelato, i do have friends that grow it, i was commenting on the medium of coco vs the growing of the gelato, your gelato looks so dense lol heavy ladies. in my outdoor garbage cans i used a cinder block and lots of clay pebbles for airation, no coco this year, i find the fungus gnats were horrible when i used coco, i had excellent results using a blend of coco and hp promix though, some of the stickest stuff i have ever produced, that was with a strain called grapegod. in my indoor this latest round i used small clean gravel for a base layer of a inch or two then my blended soil on top, two more weeks and i will see if the root mass has totally consumed the medium. first pic is current grow of cotton candy cane, banner mist, white skunk, grease monkey. second pic is a strain i m ade called dirty phil, f1 seeds. last pic is one called blueberry punch. the phil is a 12-13 week strain and was grown with advanced nutes by a friend.

Wow you have a huge grow space. Lovely plants!
well i found hermies in my banner mist last night!! ugh bloody hell, took down the 7 and left the rest, i have always had horrible issues with fungus gnats and aphids at my place, i live in a high humidity area year round p.m is a constant battle here lol, the bugs i really do not know where these things come from, everything was going great in my room thois round until 3 weeks ago then it was like a hatch went off, aphids all over the place. no mites for me though lol its like the one and only bug i dont have. i am interested to see how your gelato burns.

3 Days till harvest. Well definitely for the problem lady (you can tell which one from the more damaged leaves). The other plant is throwing new pistols and I am considering letting it continue the journey. Opinions? Rez is 40 gallons 0.00 RO water atm.

Well, I guess I will cut the problem plant tomorrow.....Then start giving the other plant 1200 ppm mixture till it finishes. Anyone got some advice?

Depends what your mixture is? :D
If it was me I would just flush them out and put the next ones in flowering alongside your Gelato’s. This run is good as done. You can just put them in a bucket with tapwater on the table (change it regulary) and flood your new plants with fertilizer.

Looks quality and it will probably hit hard. It is good to have a friend like you haha

i agree with canna, no need for food just water, i use just water the last week to week and a half before harvest, make the plant use all available nutes so it borns nice and smooth.

Hey I really appreciate the advice. Thats a way better idea than stalling out! I always start second guessing myself around this stage.
