HHHG G13 x Widow test (1 of 3)...

I didn't get my seeds until December so got started late. They are currently healthy vegging. I tried to germinate 15 seeds. 2 of them didn't pop, and a couple more didn't live long after sprouting. There were also a couple runts I removed after vegging a few weeks, which left me with 9 plants. My experience with runts is that they are not worth the time/money. 5 of them have shown female recently so at least that many are going to start flowering soon.

I've been building a new RDWC system for this grow. I haven't done DWC in many years so wish me luck! I have been using Pro Mix or my own mix of 1:1:1 peat moss, vermiculite and perlite for years, but it is a lot of work lifting/hauling all that and I ain't getting any stronger as I age. The G13Widow have been vegging in that mix but plan to transfer females to the new RDWC system.

The first few weeks they spent under an LED panel that is just a couple hundred watts. They are now under a 1000w double ended HPS. I will use 2 or 3 of the 1000w HPS for flowering. I have them trained in a manifold growth pattern so they didn't look very good after all the trimming, but they are starting to look good again. I still need to take cuttings from some of them so the plants may not all have the same number of colas.

One of them got spider mites so I killed it, leaving 9 healthy plants.

30 Days vegging...

37 Days vegging...I trimmed them into manifold shape after these pics...

I had some issues after transplanting into the new RDWC system, mainly pH and light heat. Several of the plants died and I was left with just 4 females that are doing well now. I have clones of all 7 girls and 2 boys and plan to grow the 3 girls out again that didn't survive this first grow. I also want to collect pollen from the males to use on some of my favorite mothers like Grand Daddy Purp & Purple Hindu Kush in search of a good sleepy plant.

HHHG G13 x Widow test continued (2 of 3)...

G13xWidow #7 - 19 Days Bloom

G13xWidow #6 - 19 Days Bloom

G13Widow #2 - 35 Days Bloom (bit of nute burn - my fault)

G13Widow #6 - 35 Days Bloom (bit of nute burn - my fault)

My new RDWC system had major problems so I had to harvest at 6 and 7 weeks. They were mostly cloudy so we'll see how they cure. I have clones of 6 females and will flower them in hempy buckets soon and will post pics.

I was going to do a smoke report but had major problems unrelated to growing so I never did a proper smoke report and lost my notes on the flavor. It was a nice indica smoke, kinds like a stronger Ortega. I had some nice parent plants but lost them and all my genetics in a house fire. Lost the house, 15 years of genetics, and sadly lost all my pets. Basically lost everything and now live in an apartment where I can't grow.

beautiful plants

how many liters are those plastic bag pots?

Here are plants G2, G3, & G5 after 60days of flowering. Before I hung them, I removed all large fan leafs and any other material not suitible for my tinctures, edibles, etc.

In my case, the best phenos from this strain were G3 & G5. These were the favorites from almost everyone I shared with (Potency, smell, taste). Personally, from a growers prospective, I found these two phenos to be the best producers when it came to overall weight and density of buds.

One of the issues I had with this particular strain, and its a small one, was the lack of density on the lower parts of the plants. Even with considerable time spent training, lolipopping , etc.. Of course that is how this strain reacted to my growing environment/method/etc.

I am also comparing these to other strains we currently run, grown the exact same way (Environment, method, feeding) For example, I have a beautiful Black Widow pheno that has nice solid buds from top to bottom when finished, grown the exact same way as these testers.

That being said, every single pheno was a winner when it came to overall potency. The trim and larfy stuff was perfect material for my cannabutter & tinctures. Loaded with trics!

only one plant was a bit little

i always pass in bloom to see the sex of the plant

a classic grow

i dont want big plant just do a good selection and use males for pollen.

i have one mango haze in bloom in my green house since the 23 february
and i put a g13 skunk femalle in bloom in the same time of the new g13 widow to do a good synchronisation with the outdoor light

not sure to be clear

they are 2 phenotypes

one compact with dark green leaves

and a tall one with a more light green leaves

i think the light green is the g13 phenotype ?

i am good or not

the smell look very similaire to the old g13 widow and the widow phenotype dominated again if it is the compact one

i like more the tall one is smell citric the compact one i dont like the smell

i remove 4 plants 3 males and one look like a herma

i have only 5 plants in my box i hope will be girls
