hey man.. keep at it .. they might start slow but the SSH is the best strain of all time.. it has won everything and all that grow her love it.. she does not need much of a veg time and it will flower fast watch the height.. enjoy have fun with her.. P.S if they are taken too long to germ I would plant them in a small pot of soil and see if that will kick start them

For the SSH I've noticed that embrio might have problem getting out of the shell so you can help it out a little bit. There are some posts about this issue on mothers and clones forum. Also, some phenos are highly sensitive to nutrients, so be careful. For the potency, taste yield and flowering time this is a absolute MUST. The phenos are very versatile, from 8 - 14 weeks but every plant is worth growing. One of the best strains ever IMHO.

Hey downby ... may I suggest ignoring oneofus; he's quite an interesting character, but he's f'ing with you a bit.

I grew SSH a year ago and, IIRC, had 17 of 18 seeds germinated (might have even been 100%, the grow thread is posted in the SSH forum under my handle).

There should be no particular problem with the seeds, but sometimes, shit happens. Even with good genetics.

If they haven't popped in a week, they probably are not going to. If you didn't already, move them from whatever medium you have them in and try something else (fresh papertowel, soak in water, etc.), but at this point, they may be lost.

Can you start a few more seeds? A week or so won't really make a big difference in the grow, they'll catch up pretty quick.

SSH is a wonderful line from MNS, keep at it ... it has some haze in it, so it can be a little more challenging to grow that some indica leaning plants, but not too bad really.

good luck

Yes they do have trouble shedding their shells and two toothpicks does the job fairly well though a third hand would certainly help. I grow in well flushed Cana coco so they had no ferts at germination which I don't usually start until the sprouts look a little hungry and or have decent tap/feeder roots. Shanti is blaming the postal service (X-rays?) but the Nordle that came with the SSH are fine with 100% germination so I don't know. I also note that the first pack of SSH that I got just 6 months ago only had a germination rate of about 40% and while all of the 9 seeds planted from the second pack have cracked not one has survived and grown to date

OK, sorry, I thought you were just shootin' off crap; I stand corrected.

My experience was opposite ... I had no germination troubles with SSH, but lots of trouble with Nordle.

Downbytheriver ... if you continue to have trouble, PM Shanti and discuss it with him. He has a history of helping his customers when they have issues.

Actually I wasn't fucking with downby badrabbit, but I was so "high" (I took one too many hmxbb caps) all that I could manage was "SSH is crap" which was, I agree, a very unspecific and ridiculous thing to say but hey...the walls were looking at me in a very suspicious way by then

P.S. I would be very interested to know when downby got his seeds?
