As satty said, tents cause herms due to light leaks or heat and neither are a problem with my setup.

They weren't crammed in, and only one strain thought it was too tight in there if that's the case

What other grow threads have you seen? Everything I've seen is still in veg and the critical mass threads are 1 and 2 plants so hardly conclusive. I hope my hermie ratio ain't the norm anyway.

If i was reading this thread and seen a genuine interest to resolving the problem with out set members singling out whats clearly a hack job on the CBD crews work i would not of sed a thing here or posted.

But Gnome who left angry with the site comes back under a new handle claims the CBD gears shit and all angry only admitting its him after i called him out makes any person question the authenticity of the intention of this thread and the members supporting it.

I mentioned I've have nanners before during late flower because I knew it was environment and due to light leaks that time. I was growing in a makeshift setup at the time. I merely brought it up to explain that I know the difference. Nothing has ever hermed in my proper setup until now, and it's not the environment because I made sure my permanent setup's tight.

I ain't got any problem with CBD Crew at all. This hermie issue as far as I'm concerned is over with.
I didn't ask for any refund or compensation anyway. Most important thing was to inform em of the problem and inform growers of the problem.
I respect CBD Crew for working on these and bringing out CBD rich strains, gonna help a lot of people.
Now I've got some CBD rich strains I'll be arranging a perpetual breeding setup and gonna hit the keepers with the CBD Widow male.
If testing goes well I'll offer the seeds to patients free of charge and run it constantly if demands there

Oh yeah, forgot to mention,,, when Shanti said 100 seeds were tested I thought that was 100 seeds from each strain, not 100 seeds total from the 6 strains?!

That only works out to 15-20 seeds tested from critical mass, grown in 1 environment. Fuck knows how can that be considered acceptable testing, specially when charging 10€ per seed and targeted at medical growers?!

If Shanti has the time I'd be interested to know whether these test plants were flowered from clone as well?

Just surprised by these numbers, seems inadequate to me, specially when Shanti's involved. This could go some way to explaining the diversity and weak phenos I found in the lines as well?

You know, I also found it out of character the way the CBD crew went about handling the lines. At first I thought the testers were actually that, seeds going out to be test grown in all types of environment. They were offered for free but part of the deal was that the grower had to pay for the final product to be lab tested? Whatever, the testers agreed to that.

Then I see that they are offered for sale before the testers can even germ there beans?

What about them being tested first?

Seems like the test growers have just as much of experience with the strain as the CBD crew does.

I'm optimistic that in the end the CBD grew gear will be exactly what the hoped for.

Always have, I remember the thrill of growing my first tomatoes when I was 6.
Its heaps fun, I reckon.


I dont mind that I'm growing these CBD's (that might not do what there expected to), I'm not growing it to smoke it or make money.
I'm gonna give it all away to old folks, and people with aches and pains.
I've seen pictures, and really it is such a pretty plant.
That's why I'm happy to grow it.
As an 'ornamental' it would be hard to beat just for it's incredibly beautiful colours alone.

People choose to grow 'ornamentals' because they derive much pleasure from seeing, experiencing it's beauty.

Nature makes hermie's and other 'mistakes' as well (as humans do).
Nothing's perfect.....

The important thing is getting 'those people' growing 'those plants' ...

It's up to people like you and me.....

Does seem strange they'd cut corners and rush these out given the market, but looks like it's to do with $$$. Releasing seeds untested so patients can get the genetics quicker is counter productive imo. They'd be looking out for patients more if they ensured all the lines were as stable as possible before release so these (in their words) inexperienced growers don't have any issues when growing their medicine.
