I see a 'white spot' in the leaf vein you mention which could be a thrip
but the pic resolution doesn't really help .
like I said I 'm not certain what the pest really is ,
it could be mites but could also be thrips ,
a thorough inspection from kevinn and better pics will help identify what is really causing the damage
