Hi all,
With Critical Mass having Skunk #1 origins there is nothing to be alarmed about with a more sativa leaning phenotype. Not every plant will look like some of the well selected CM's floating about out there, its quite possible to grow an entire pack out from a number of varieties and see expression from the Sk1 side to variations inbetween leading up to a more big bud leaning phenotype or x hybrid.

Its a numbers game, the more seeds you have the more females you will find. The more females you have the more variation you have to look through to find that selected phenotype. Keep us updated, its possible she starts to grow out of it a bit as she matures. She could yield very well for you regardless, in the end a balance needs to be struck between a few different characteristics considered favorable anyway.

So its big bud cubed with skunk and not really reworked at all. The strains section needs some serious attention.

Hi Blackwater,
Critical Mass is a reworked version of Big Bud, which Shanti and company put a significant amount of time into. It is hybridized with Skunk #1, as are many other varieties as its one of a handful of a few foundational building blocks in the industry which nearly every companies lines contain in one form or another.

This is one of the better lines in the MNS lineup.

Critical Mass only makes up HALF of this strain so it's possible to have phenos that are very different than regular CM.

You have some skinny leaves, but that plant is not that sativa leaning, imo. Sat buds are thin and skimpy, scattered up and down the stalk, usually wild ass plants. I know this is a site of experts, but that is my personal opinion. I grew up smoking in an era (at least ten years) of pure sativa in the 70s. Many Mexicans, a Couple Colombians, Thai, Panama, and Jamaicans. We were stupid kids and didn't know what we were doing, but all the weed come seeded and it was always sativa. Everyone planted some seeds someplace.

When the Indica and Hybrids started coming out big in the 80s we were all excited by the different smells and freshness of the local indoor weed, but I do miss the heart racing sats we used to get.

I like to keep various kinds around for what ever mood I am in lately. That is the best benefit of living the era we live today. You should be able to buy or grow any kind of weed you want. These are the best of times in Marijuanaville.

One last thing... I feel that California is the weed capital of the entire world in price, availability, choice and quality. Oregon has a ton of weed but the bar is a bit lower here. You can buy an ounce at harvest season for mid homegrown for 120 USD and the fire for 200. You just have get to know some folks to always get the fire... especially in the outdoor harvest season. Every house you go in you smell weed drying.

Edit... That is two plants and you were talking about the one on the right. After a second look I have to agree with you. Sorry.

Yeah, I was gonna say, Thats two different plants he' got . Right one looks to be heavy on the sat side. Left one's coming along good and healthy buds are going to shoot up fine, just wait and see. Sativa take longer, might need a tad bit of nitro.
