Hi y'all , just had to relocate my groom due to baby arriving soon, just a quick question, how much more beneficial is silver reflective material compared to just painting the walls white?
Cheers Siggle

white paint is better, unless you live in a really cold place.

mylar is fragile and a real bitch to keep clean, white paint on the other hand is easy to apply without wrinkles and is washable.
...another option is Reflectix, which is easier to apply than paint and much less fragile than mylar. peace, SOG |

Use flat paint too man. Gloss absorbes light. You want to reflect the light
. Ya can pick up a 4lt bucket of ceiling white for about 20 bux or so.Enough to do 2 or 3 rooms hehe. Works a treat ![]() Bill Last edited by fingerbone bill; 07-04-2012 at 03:17 AM. Reason: adding stuff |

Unanimous. Paint. The sheets are a disaster.

how about paint or black and white polly aka panda film. I use it, I got the idea from the jorge cevates video. it just seemed cheaper and easier than hanging drywall and mudding sanding and painting. but would paint really reflect more than the white plastic with a black back? no light penatrates it.

If You Cannot Afford Orca Film Then Go For Flat White Paint With Added Fungicide ( Farmers Supply Stores)
I'm Blown Away By Orca Film As It Is More Reflective Than Mylar And Zero Hot Spots. Its New Technology Is Called Diffused Reflectional Sheeting. Anyways, Enjoy Using Non Latex Paint ![]() JKP
