Default AK-47 Hempy

Hi,thought I would start a new Hempy, this time following Hempy's word more closely re germination.I did some Nl's that germed directly in the perl/vermic bucket and it's taking ages to pick up.
This one was put into a root riot and into a smaller Hempy with just perlite for now.
Hopefully the roots should find the res a bit quicker this time!

This is a serious seeds AK-47 fem, under a 2tube t5 light. It will be in veg whilst the Nl in the other Hempy buckets are flowering,so at least 8weeks,they still in veg too.Its day 10 from sprout.

hi greenbelt

looks good so far.
i think most recommend not to use clear containers, so light doesnt affect the roots/cause algae to grow.

if that plant has to wait 8 weeks to get flowered, are you planning on transplanting it to a bigger container?

Hi mate i would cover the RW cube with perlite so you dont get algy growing on it and use say duck tape around the clear container to also avoid algy growing.

Its normal to get a little grow on the top of the perlite at the very top but once the plant grows a little it will block the lite hitting the medium.

Hi Jack, yeah it will be going into a 3gal bucket when I know it has a good root structure.
I have a couple in Hempy's that were germed in final buckets and they are painfully slow!
I am going to duct tape this clear container, keep forgeting!

Hi Hempy, think I was typing at same time as you.I left the top of the cube uncovered as it seemed to not dry out and I was worried about overwatering, but yes I will defo tape up the clear container, cheers for the input,i'm hoping you will guide me through my Hempy's mate.

Default Clear cup inside of colored cup....

Hi GB....

Jack and hempy already have you on the right track so don't think my input is needed there but since you were using a clear container I thought maybe I was reading mind and thought process as to why you used the clear cup.

Either you didn't have a colored cup or perhaps you were interested in seein the roots grow and hit the Rez. When new to things it's definitely nice to be able to see what's going on inside of he rootzone. Plus makes for good root porn....

When I was curious about these weird happenings inside my perlite or dirt I saw a guy who planted into a clear solo cup and then put the clear cup inside of a colored cup. This allows for you to have an inside view to your girls under areas while still keeping them protected from light and pathogens. Plastic cups are cheap and everyone has seen the beer cup grows.

Being able to see what exactly is going on in your mini hempy is pretty cool. Watching the taproots hit and then explode is pretty sweet.

Transplanting small hempsters to big boy buckets is just as simple as soil. Just let the small guy dry and turn upside down and out she pops. This is really where plastic cups are useful bc they bend and you can easily pop out the root mass.

I like keeping vegging plants in smaller hempy so they stay manageable. It's simple to make them blow up before flowering and your not wasting space on dud males or runts. I see you have fems so you shouldn't have to worry so much about that but even fems can be runts or duds.

Best of luck to you and all your plants. I like the enthusiasm your putting forth. Here's to a huge harvest of heavy dankness. Now I'll step back and let the pros handle the rest. Best wishes to everyone. Nice to see the positiveness growing. Hope I could help.

Have a good one

OG

Thank you O/G,yup you right,I was curious to see exactly the change in the plant when the roots make it to the res,so I would be able to judge in the future.

Hi GB. Got any old socks with holes in? Put an old sock or two over the clear cup man. That way, if you ever wanna see the roots in the cup, just take the sock off, then replace the sock after viewing the "root porn".

Sock on, sock off...sock on, sock off...

Default And for my prize...???

Woooooohhhh hooooohhhhh!!!! We have a winner!!!

Haha yes sir mr gb.... Your perverted viewings of those young ladies is out in the open and in the record books. I'll accept lots of pictures as my prize thank you.

A fucking sock... That's fucking brilliant. Your blew my mind mr ganja man. Fucking sock with a hole.... Genius. Take it a step further.... How about a puppet and the hole could be it's mouth so it would spit while watering... Ok fine it could be taking a piss too... Ole green belt would probably prefer a peeing school girl puppet... Haha. Too much... How about a beer coozie(spelling?? The foam things that keep beer cold) for insulation?? Or a head cover for a driver?? The list goes on.... All sock based...

Best wishes everyone. Hope all is well....

Have a good one

Lightbulb

Or Of Course You Can Use Cube Caps http://www.cube-caps.ca Or Cut The Top Off A Milk Container
Using Some Lightproof Plastic On The Surface Of The Perlite Will Greatly Slow Algae Growth, And Light Proof Pots Will Protect Your Delicate Roots.
