Hi everyone,
I'm getting started with an outdoor summer grow. I'm in California and obey all sb-420 rules. (Six plant max and 8 oz. max dry) It is tough to know what weight you will end up with. There are many variables. Thieves, disease, insects and my big trouble in recent years,MOLD! I start with six plants, three plants in the ground and three in pots. This year I will be going with,NL5 x Haze(MNS-regular),AK-47(Serious-regular-2),PurpleHaze(G13-labs Fem freebie<I couldn't resist>)Master Cheese(Master Kush x Cheese, something from the Santa Cruz Mountains),and another freebie seed I couldn't resist,OGKush(Dina-fem). The one on the left is the NL5 x Haze. The other two are AK-47. The remaining plants mentioned above will be in 15g pots. The plants were brought outside as seedlings to acclimate. They were in a greenhouse tent, while they were small until I could determine gender.(we have a lot of squirrels) They are about 18-20 inches when the photo was taken on May 28. Whats up charmilles,
Plants looking great man. Always love your entries into the BOTM contest, truly spectacular photography skills. With staying in the limit, would you reckon it may be wise to go with monster plants so that you fan maximize yield? I think I would try and start them 2-3 months early before you put them outside maybe with an adjusted light schedule so that they won't accidentally flower early when put outside. I have seen pics of guys in Cali growing monsters in 200 gallon smart pots. Now that's what I want to see from ya next year bro. Your ladies look lively and I expect nothing but steller bud from ya. Best Regards sXi

Terrific Picture! ... Classic! can't wait to see the rest. Pheno selection is key with this strain. There are so many good ones it is easy to settle on a mom ... don't. Keep searching until you find that one.

Hi Charmilles, sxi, Puday,
If you do have problems with squirrels you might want to put a little plastic/metal fence around to avoid surprises...I have a friend that has just lost all 7 seedling that were just like yours...I am not trying to be jinx But thnking ahead where problems might come from helps. Those plants are looking sooooo good!! Keep up the great work!!![]() Fumeke |

Hi Everyone,
I've done this a number of times, and am learning continually. Here is a shot of the results of last years efforts. http://www.mrnice.nl/forum/members/c...ornia-2011.jpg (I'll get a better picture) The ones in the dirt(back three) are all AK-47s planted near June 1,(not topped). I have a size constraint in the width,so I go up. The branches on these things are over an oz ea. I've learned to put them in the ground at this time by experience. On Mar 20, daylight is 12 hrs. Right now it's only about 15 hrs. This works for a seedling started six weeks earlier. If this is a clone,it's tough to get it down to 15hrs without flowering. The speed these things grow is amazing.(The fence is 7 ft) I always have enough that I need to get rid of some at the local club. Peace and regards, Charmilles

The first thought that came to mind was the exact same thing...top that girl! This line seems to respond favorably to topping generally...although, she'll be a beast topped or not...lookin' forward to seein' her fill out...Enjoy! Peace! |
